Strong Praise for the "G&T" Label

inspired by creative winemaking, and the brand name
G&T was inspired by proprietor Leigh Gilligan’s love
for the spirit mix of the same name. With the brand
name in place the challenge of coming up with a stand
out design that would deliver strong brand identity was
given to design house Tucker Creative.
The design brief was to create a label that generated
brand strength and commanded attention. Tucker
Creative combined bold simplicity with innovative
print elements to achieve a label with shelf impact
and strong visual features. Printed on premium
coated paper with spot colours and silver foil, the
label background is both tactile and textured, with
super matt varnish and Jacana grain combining
beautifully. A super smooth gloss screen on the brand
ensures a superb visual contrast to the matt textured
background.
“The design brief was nothing out of the ordinary;
however the result of the collaboration between
Tucker Creative and Collotype is anything but
ordinary. The integral visual cut through lies in the
dramatic contrast between the texturally embossed
background and the bold dense gloss of the high
build screen, creating a striking new dimension to
an already engaging design.”

Creative Director.
