The Salopian Inn's home is a slate-floored, stone building dating from 1851. Much of the original building remains, including the three-room cellar where you can choose wine from an extensive range. This wine range features the fine wines from the surrounding vineyards of McLaren Vale - one of Australia's most famed wine regions.
In creating the seasonally changing menus, chef Billy Dohnt selects only the best ingredients, preferring local fresh produce where possible.
And there's more than just a restaurant here. DOWIE DOOLE and Gemtree Vineyards have combined forces to establish a cellar door at the Salopian Inn. The complete range of wines from both of these producers is available for wine flight tastings and sales.
