Year: 2010
Editorial: "Dense purple-red; an intense bouquet of blackberry and dark chocolate and some oak, then a full-bodied palate with a notably soft finish, partly reflecting barrel fermentation of the last few baumes." (2008 Vintage)

Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
Year: 2010
Editorial: "I opened up a raft of heavy hitters the other week to pass round at office drinks (I have a day job too, you know) and this elicited all the requisite ooooohs and aaaahsss from the big red wine fanciers.
Lavish coffee nougat oak, a touch of mint and thick, sweet ripe black fruits. It’s smooth and even lightly slippery, with a little grippy tannin, but they’re largely plump and well massaged. A little latent McLaren earthiness is hiding in the folds there somewhere too. Obvious and fulsome, yet delicious nonetheless." (2008 Vintage)

"the ideal Dowie Doole red"
Julian Coldrey, Full Pour
Year: 2010
Editorial: "What I like about this wine is the depth and richness of its fruit. Forget reflexively fashionable words of the moment like "elegant" and "restrained" and instead revel in old school McLaren Vale Shiraz, complete with bold oak flavour and lusciously abundant fruit." (2008 Vintage)
